HELPING ONE STUDENT AT A TIME
Ms. Fountain Valley Pageant
Hyundai was proud to support the Miss Fountain Valley Pageant. The home of Hyundai Motor America corporate headquarters, the city of Fountain Valley crowned its first queen in 20 years this year. The pageant promotes women empowerment, professional development and scholarships. This year the pageant awarded a total of $12,750 in scholarships to local residents.
TELACU Internship Program
Hyundai Motor America partnered with the TELACU Education Foundation to create a unique internship program in which four college students were provided a 12-week internship at TELACU. These interns have worked in a variety of areas of their professional interest including social services, environment, and health care. In 2012, the TELACU interns focused their efforts on planning and implementing a Green Initiative program.
HYUNDAI Math Labs
Partnering with MIND Research Institute, Hyundai has helped install Math Labs around California for students to visit and enhance their spatial abilities and quantitiative reasoning powers.

Friarbots Team 3309
For the 2012-2013 academic school year, Hyundai Motor America is proud to be a Silver level sponsor of Friarbots Team 3309. Since 2009, the Friarbots Team 3309 has competed in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
Miss Fountain Valley Scholarship Pageant
In 2012, the Miss Fountain Valley Scholarship Pageant was brought back to Fountain Valley after a 20 year hiatus. Hyundai Motor America became the Presenting sponsor with the funds going to scholarships for the Miss Fountain Valley contestants.
