Helping Build Better Communities

We believe in supporting the communities in which we live and do business. It’s important to us to give our neighbor’s a helping hand. We believe that we all move forward together. With our collective hands, we make the world a better place to live and work. Together, we can make a difference.

Habitat for Humanity

Since 1988, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County has been working with community volunteers to build over 200 homes, with the goal of making housing more affordable for working families. Hyundai volunteers assisted with the construction of two homes during a Build Day, helping with waterproofing and decorative carpentry, contributing to the safety, beauty, and longevity of the homes.

Progress Project

In honor of Black History Month, The Progress Project by Hyundai provides financial assistance to black-owned small businesses in a region. In the past, the Progress Project has been implemented in Montgomery, Alabama; Savannah, Georgia; and Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Santa Ana’s Winter Village Toy Giveaway

Hyundai employees bring the holiday cheer! Our Amigos Unidos and Young Leaders employee resource groups distributed toys to children at Santa Ana’s Winter Village Toy Giveaway in Santa Ana, California.

Project Youth OC Career Day

Hyundai volunteered at Project Youth OC’s Career Day, mentoring over 60 high school students on pathways to higher education and various careers. We also participated in a career panel and highlighted the technology in the IONIQ5.

Partnership with Northgate Markets

The pandemic amplified the food insecurity crisis in our community, so we are proud of our partnership with Northgate Markets to alleviate stress and provide holiday meals for people that are struggling. We even volunteered with Northgate at Paramount Park Middle School to prepare groceries for over 100 families in need.

Veteran’s Day Giving Back

Hyundai’s Stars and Stripes employee resource group donated to Paws of War, a nonprofit that provides support dogs to veterans, and Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a Marine Corps Reserve-led nonprofit that provides holiday gifts to families in need.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County

Hyundai partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County to host two employee volunteer events. On the first day, we helped process 6,400 lbs of food from local partners and food rescue programs, which were shipped out to the community. On the second day, we harvested 2,200 lbs of watermelon to be distributed to families experiencing food insecurity.

OC Food Bank

Hyundai packed food boxes for low-income seniors at the OC Food Bank, a program of Community Action Partnership of Orange County. The team packed over 700 boxes that were distributed to seniors throughout Orange County and the surrounding areas.

America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia

Hyundai volunteered at America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia in Savannah, Georgia to help prepare meals for children. America’s Second Harvest works to distribute nutritious food to community partners throughout the region to provide relief to children, senior citizens, low-income families, and people with disabilities.
